Courses to Help You Strengthen Relationships

Discover effective strategies for developing trusting, strength-based relationships with families and individuals that motivate them to provide responsive, loving care. Our self-paced online courses guide participants to enhance their understanding of foundational partnerships and grow concrete strategies that can be translated into practice.

The Science of Attachment

Do you want to know how to build stronger relationships? To create loving and heartwarming interactions?

Do you want to establish foundations for trust, empathy, and understanding connections?

This is where The Science of Attachment course comes in.

Participants will explore and reflect on the research behind the science of attachment – the deep emotional bond between an infant and their primary caregiver.

You will work through three objectives to understand the role of secure attachment relationships in children’s cognitive and social-emotional development and explore various research-based strategies parents can practice, to foster secure attachment relationships with their children.

A Strengths-Based Approach

Have you ever noticed that your brain has a natural tendency to give weight to negative experiences or interactions more than positive ones?

Psychologists refer to this as negativity bias, and it causes people to focus on one bad thing in a mountain of good things.

The strength-based approach allows for people to see themselves at their best to see their value. It then allows a person to move that value forward and capitalize on their strengths rather than focus on their negative characteristics.

In this course, learners will develop their understanding of a Strengths-Based Approach. Participants will complete three objectives that walk through the fundamentals of taking a Strengths-Based Approach.

By the end of the training, learners should feel confident in their ability to use a Strengths-Based Approach not only in professional practice, but in ALL their relationships.

Hands gathered with a red heart in the middle to represent the online course that helps grow resilience through a trauma informed approach.

Growing Resilience Through a Trauma-Informed Approach

It can be difficult to know how to help someone when they have gone through a distressing or traumatic event. It’s natural to want to make someone feel better again, but having the tools to approach the conversation with care is important.

Understanding the experience, effect and impact of trauma on individuals is key to developing trauma-informed practices. The trauma-informed approach shifts the focus from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?”

By taking part in the Growing Resilience Through a Trauma-Informed Approach course, you will expand your knowledge of trauma and its impacts, gain more understanding of a trauma-informed approach, and learn about resilience and ways to support its growth.

In 2 hours of self-paced online work, you will work through four modules to understand the relationship between trauma, toxic stress, and impacts on early development and explore how resilience-oriented approaches and neuroeducation can enhance Trauma-Informed Approaches.

The Power of Observation: Strengthening the Parent-Child Bond

By observing parent-child interaction, you can see how parents naturally interact with their children and use these observations to provide support and feedback to improve the quality of these interactions

We created this course to help you do just that. When you take this course, you will explore how using the observational framework supports secure attachment parent-child relationships by identifying and increasing positive parent-child interactions.

Parent-child interactions are the heart of relationships. When cultivating the growth of secure attachment parent-child relationships, it is important to observe parents’ interactions with their children.

Parent-child interaction influences child development in many areas, including cognition, communication, language, and social and emotional growth.

By the end of the 2-hour online training, you will have the observational tools to promote, support, and document parent-child interactions.
