Parenting Groups

Growing Great Socializations (GGS) is a parenting and child development group curriculum designed to be used with parenting groups within Growing Great Kids® certified programs Prenatal to 36 Months or Preschooler Home-Based Curricula. GGS provides developmentally appropriate, research-based materials that align with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework. It provides an abundance of well-organized and developmentally sequenced materials to support parenting and child development.

By utilizing GGS in conjunction with the home-based curriculum, parents will benefit from of a comprehensive and integrated approach. This approach will support the development of parenting skill sets that support their child’s development in all domains while increasing their nurturing parenting abilities. Please note it is a prerequisite to be certified in Growing Great Kids Prenatal to 36 months or Growing Great Kids for Preschoolers before gaining certification in GGS.

The Growing Great Socializations Curriculum consists of 22 modules, structured to be facilitated in a 2 to 2 ½ hour group session. The curriculum is set up for parents to provide input into the sequencing of the modules based on their intersts and needs.

Certification for GGS is done 100% online. The package includes:

  • GGS Manual
  • Electronic curriculum handouts with reproduction license, and 
  • License to use the curriculum within parent groups

Some packages also include 18 laminated 18″ x 20″ Daily Do posters.
