LETTER FROM BOARD PRESIDENT

Juan Muñoz

Board President

Dear Great Kids Supporters,

We are proud to reflect on a year in which Great Kids remained steady in its mission while responding thoughtfully to the evolving needs of the professionals who support families every day. In a challenging and uncertain environment for the nonprofit sector, the organization continued to act with purpose, integrity, and care.

Throughout 2025, the Board worked closely with our CEO, David Bird, and the executive team to provide oversight, guidance, and accountability, while staying grounded in the values that define Great Kids’ work. During the year, Great Kids expanded its partnerships and reach across home visiting and early childhood development fields, positively impacting more than 43,000 families. Insights gathered from partners across the U.S. and Canada helped guide investments in professional learning, tools, and access.

In response to partner and community needs, Great Kids expanded access through translated resources, including the addition of Arabic translations developed in partnership with local stakeholders. The organization also strengthened its curriculum and tools to support professionals working with families facing complex challenges, including those affected by substance use. These efforts reflect a commitment to meeting family-serving professionals where they are and to strengthening caregiver-child relationships at the heart of our mission.

This year, Great Kids engaged at both the practice and policy levels across the early childhood and family-serving fields. As a sponsor of the Start Early National Home Visiting Summit, Great Kids participated alongside leaders, practitioners, and advocates from across the country to contribute to shared learning and field advancement. In parallel, Great Kids took part in legislative visits to share perspectives on the importance of home visiting and affordable child care, including discussion of the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program and the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit, helping ensure policy conversations reflect the lived experiences of families and the professionals who support them.

The Board has deep confidence in the leadership of our CEO and the dedication of the Great Kids team. Their ability to remain focused, adaptive, and mission-driven during a demanding year speaks to the strength of the organization and its culture. As stewards, we are encouraged by the clarity of direction ahead.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you to our donors, partners, and supporters for your trust and continued partnership. Your investment makes it possible for Great Kids to advance its mission and to help create a world where all children feel safe, secure, loved, valued, capable, and curious.

Dear Partners and Supporters,

As we reflect on the past year, I am filled with gratitude for the collective commitment of our team, partners, and supporters who continue to drive our mission forward. Because of you, Great Kids positively impacted over 43,000 families and their children during a challenging and unpredictable year, helping strengthen family relationships and supporting healthy child development. I am especially thankful to the Great Kids team for their unwavering support for our partners and the communities we have the privilege of serving together.

This year, Great Kids launched digital products, introduced three new Elevate courses, and released Cultivate – an advanced training for GGK users. We also expanded parent handout language offerings by completing Arabic, French (Canada), and Spanish translations of Prenatal, Hope at Home, and Growing Great Families. In addition, Great Kids representatives met with Congressional members to advocate for the needs of families and children.

Internally, we continued product research and development to enhance substance use recovery supports for families. The Partner Experience team expanded partnerships and programming in home visiting and across the Family Support and Services field, increasing access to and utilization of Great Kids training and resources.

As we look towards the future, the team completed multiple collaboration sessions across the US and Canada. In direct response to emerging needs, our product team has defined a 2026 product roadmap focused on expanding digital access, simplifying product offerings, supporting workforce development, and providing trauma response resources. We look forward to sharing more about that soon.

We enter the coming year with optimism and resolve. We are committed to expanding and strengthening partnerships, listening closely to the communities we serve, and continuing investment in research-based approaches that are responsive to real-world needs.

None of this work happens in isolation. Progress in early childhood development depends on sustained collaboration across sectors and a belief in the power of early experiences to shape brighter futures. We are excited to continue this journey with you—building on what we have learned, embracing innovation, and staying focused on what matters most: helping every child thrive.

Thank you for your partnership, trust, and commitment to young children and their families.
