About Great Kids, Inc.
To
date, the GKI approach is being used in more than 600 communities
in 40 states and the District of Columbia as well as in over 100
communities in 7 Canadian provinces and 10 communities in 6 Philippines
provinces.
These 700+ communities have adapted the GKI
approach for supporting families of young
children in their HFA, HANDS, Baby First,
or other home visitation and child care giving
programs.
Since 1975 the directors and staff have been involved in Healthy Start/Healthy
Families and were the partnering architects of both Hawaii’s
Healthy Start and the original Healthy Families America approach
to working with families. Our innovative and practical strategies
are founded on more than two decades of experience in the work,
based on
best practice, and supported by research.
Vision
All children will receive the nurturing care essential to their becoming
compassionate and contributing members of their communities.
Mission
