GGK® for Preschoolers Certification

Foster the growth of staff competencies.

All of our certification programs are evidence based and cost effective for your program to implement.

GGK for Preschoolers Certification Training

Participation in a Growing Great Kids® for Preschoolers Certification Seminar is required to use the GGK for Preschoolers Curriculum. By participating in this skill driven seminar, home visitors and their supervisors will:

  • Build 6 Home Visiting competencies
  • Increase their understanding of the development of the preschool-aged child & their parenting needs
  • Learn how to motivate parents to practice the GGK Daily Dos: 6 Essential Parenting Skill Sets
  • Learn strategies for interacting with 3-5-year-old children, aimed at preventing challenging behaviors, while providing consistent, nurturing discipline

We offer our seminars in two formats:

Classroom: Our in-person classroom certification seminar consists of 4 full days of engaging instruction. During the seminar, participants have many opportunities to practice using the interactive conversation guides and strength-based, solution-focused concepts. Participants also observe a live demonstration using a GGK Curriculum module and activities.

Virtual: Just like our in-person program, our virtual certification seminar is an engaging, enriching and fun learning experience. This blended learning model consists of 5 days of training with 3 hours of instructor-led virtual instruction each day followed by 2 hours of independent learning time. It includes an orientation call prior to the scheduled seminar week to support participants with familiarizing themselves with the technology, to answer any general questions and to set expectations for the virtual seminar week. Participants are also provided with multiple complimentary post-training supports.
