Growing Great Kids® for Preschool

Foster the nurturing growth and development of children 3 to 5-years old.

Our strength-based, partnership approach to building nurturing parenting skills while optimizing developmental outcomes.

Growing Great Kids Preschool

Growing Great Kids (GGK) for Preschool is a Curriculum & Certification Program for Home Visitors aimed at fostering the growth of nurturing, developmentally enriched parenting skills to support parents with their child’s development, from ages 3 to 5-years old. The Curriculum builds protective factors and strengthens family foundations by cultivating parents’ stress management and problem-solving skills.

Participation in a GGK for Preschool Certification Seminar is required to use the GGK for Preschool Curriculum. In this skill-driven seminar, home visitors and their supervisors build home visiting competencies and increase their understanding of the development of the preschool-age child. Home Visitors learn how to motivate parents to practice the GGK Daily Do’s (six essential parenting skill sets) and learn strategies for interacting with 3-5 year-old children.

We offer our GGK for Preschool certification training seminar in two formats:

Classroom: This in-person, classroom-style seminar includes four full days of training in an engaging, fun learning environment. Group size is between 6 to 12 participants per seminar.

Virtual: This remote learning seminar includes five days of blended learning – each day is composed of three hours of instructor-led webinar instruction and two hours of independent learning time. Group size is between 6 to 12 participants per seminar.

All participants of a GGK for Preschool certification seminar are provided with multiple post-training supports at no additional charge.

Preschool Seminar Options

Growing Great Kids for Preschoolers

The GGK for Preschool Curriculum includes a manual which offers research-based tools for engaging and supporting growth in parents who themselves may have experienced childhood adversity or other traumatic events. It offers modules aimed at growing parental resiliency, bolstering individual and family functioning, reducing exposure to toxic stress, building problem-solving skills, strengthening support networks, and constructing protective buffers around children.

Growing Great Kids for Preschoolers Advanced

Our GGK for Preschool Advanced certification is designed for those already certified in GGK P-36.  This advanced seminar builds upon GGK P-36 curriculum concepts to expand and develop skills within the preschool age range.
