More About Great Kids, Inc.
Great
Kids, Inc. (GKI) is a 501-C3 not for profit international
training and consulting organization. Great
Kids, Inc. was formally established in October
1999, to provide training and technical assistance to home visiting,
family support
and child care giving programs in the U.S.
and abroad. The founders of GKI, a group of highly experienced
professionals, served as
managers and supervisors of the first Healthy
Start/Healthy Families programs in the country and have participated
actively in:
- Establishing, providing program planning technical assistance,
developing training and supporting the development of Healthy Families
America
- Designing the original family assessment service component
and developing and updating the tools to operationalize this process
for widespread expansion
- Designing and developing Hawaii's Healthy Start
- Establishing and supporting the development of The Family Institute
- Working in partnership with the Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation
to develop programs in the Philippines supporting new parents, foster
parents and staff of orphanages.
Vision
All children will receive the nurturing care essential to their becoming compassionate
and contributing members of their communities.
Mission
To promote the best possible outcomes for children and their
families in the United States and abroad by supporting the development
of exceptional home-based, early childhood and other supportive programs
for families.
